Report from La Repubblica Newspaper highlights the Amazon Region, the culture in Chachapoyas and our country as a tourist destination.The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PROMPERU) highlighted the recent publication of two articles in the travel section of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, one of the most important media in Italy, where the natural, cultural and landscape diversity of Peru is valued.
The first publication, titled Peru. The region of Amazonas and the land of Chachapoyas, and Guerrieri delle Nuvole, presents the Amazon region as an authentic destination with great historical and natural wealth. The report highlights attractions such as the Kuelap Fortress, the Gocta waterfall, the Karajia sarcophagi, the Revash mausoleums and the city of Lima, also highlighting Peruvian gastronomy and the countrys cultural heritage.
Likewise, the Italian media included Peru in the publication Nel silenzio della montagna: dalle Dolomiti alla Patagonia, 12 cammini verso indimenticabili albe, dedicated to routes and experiences to appreciate sunrises and trekking in different destinations around the world. This article mentions attractions such as the Gocta waterfall, Laguna 69, the Tambopata National Reserve and Lake Titicaca.
Both publications strengthen the countrys positioning in priority markets, promoting experiences linked to nature tourism, adventure, culture and experiential travel.
In this regard, the executive president of PROMPERU, Freddy Jose Maria Solano Gonzalez, pointed out that this type of publications contributes to positioning Peru as a diverse and authentic destination, capable of offering unique experiences that integrate nature, living culture, gastronomy and history. Perus editorial presence in leading international media strengthens the visibility of our destinations in strategic markets such as Italy.
It also highlights less traditional destinations and sustainable experiences, aligned with new international travel trends aimed at discovery, contact with nature and responsible tourism.
