In relation to the current political situation in the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Colombia expresses its unwavering support for the people and government of Korea in their efforts to restore constitutional order. Colombia recognizes and supports the democratic processes and institutions that underpin the political system of the Republic of Korea, as well as the importance of upholding the rule of law and constitutional principles.
The brotherly relationship between the Republic of Colombia and the Republic of Korea dates back more than 70 years to the level of Cooperation Association today. As long-standing partners, Colombia remains committed to maintaining a strong and collaborative relationship with the Republic of Korea under the interim leadership of Prime Minister Han Duck-Soo, to promote mutual interests and shared values.
Colombia is confident that during this transition period, the Republic of Korea will continue to prioritize stability, peace, democratic governance and the well-being of its citizens, and reaffirms its dedication to supporting the pursuit of prosperity and democratic resilience in the Republic of Korea.
