The all -day professional meeting, which takes place under the auspices of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Education, is this years content focused on strengthening the culture of inclusion.
In the introductory part of the meeting, the State Secretary presented the activities of the Ministry of Education in this field. She highlighted the implementation of a new concept of an expanded program in the sections of the adapted program in the current and coming school year, as well as some good practices in the parallel implementation of two educational programs at the school. She also mentioned current and upcoming legislative changes, with an emphasis on the announced amendment of the Childrens Directing Act with special needs, which is planned this year.
Finally, Secretary of State Zupancic also mentioned some projects of the ministry that pursues improvements to the education system in the field of education of children and adolescents with disabilities. These are the establishment of a aid system for children with deafblindness in education, the establishment and development of tailored practical training for students and students with disabilities, establishing a network of inclusive schools, promoting the collaboration of the school with family and adapting materials and improving the pedagogical process for working with students from vulnerable groups in lower vocational education programs.
