📋 Tender Overview
The construction of the main viaduct of the Las Residentas Road Corridor is advancing through the large-scale manufacturing of prefabricated parts with national engineering, a solution that speeds up execution, strengthens quality controls in the workshop and reduces traffic cuts and interruptions in the area. The production includes the piers, lintels and longitudinal beams that will make up the main structure of the viaduct, in addition to the pre-slabs that will function as formwork for the subsequent construction of the deck slab of the elevated track. To guarantee durability and resistance, the process uses high quality materials and special performance concretes. The piers and lintels incorporate imported reinforced steel reinforcement, while the prestressed longitudinal beams have double structural reinforcement to achieve the required load capacity and allow the safe circulation of all types of vehicles. Safe track mounting The industrialized prefabrication system reduces direct intervention in the construction zone and avoids further inconvenience to citizens. The completed pieces are already in the assembly process, through planning that involves multiple actors to protect workers and drivers during operations. The improvement of the road aims to meet high international engineering standards. The intervention is financed by Itaipu Binacional and supervised by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC). The contracting firm is Benito Roggio e Hijos S.A., which entrusted Pretec with the manufacture of all the parts used in the work. Date: August 17, 2026
