Power Engineers Grodno Tender

📄 Tender ID: 539555380 📅 Published: 29 Oct 2026

📋 Tender Overview

Unmanned technologies used since 2017 by RUE Grodnoenergo
significantly increase efficiency and safety level
production processes. At the stage of inspection of power lines
specialists do not need to rise to heights and contact with
current-carrying elements.Drones have made it easier to survey infrastructure in
hard-to-reach areas. This year, Grodno power engineers went
further in the development of new technologies: we replenished the enterprises winged fleet
11 drones with thermal imaging cameras and combined production
processes related to unmanned aerial vehicles into digital
platform. New rules for the use of drones pushed power engineers to automate the work processes, says the first deputy director - chief engineer of the Enterprise branch
Dispatch and technological control means RUE Grodnoenergo
Anatoly Kartavtsev:-- The idea arose to create an electronic journal of civil UAVs for
obtaining permission to launch drones, accounting for equipment and work
operators. Now all the necessary information is in one place.
Provides maintenance of a list of operators, accounting and control of equipment,
preparing the flight, as well as providing a report on the work done
UAV operators at work. The magazine is one of the components
software developed by us SKOPA -
specialized complex for damage detection and analytics.Another important point in the work of power engineers is the processing of photo and video materials captured by a drone, notes Anatoly Kartavtsev: Previously, this was carried out using third-party
Internet services, each operator entered information in its own way, which
caused difficulties with the final processing of materials. We created
own electronic catalog, which allows you to carry out work on
a unified standard in the energy system. Andrey Grishchenko, an engineer in the distribution networks department of the Grodno Electric Networks branch of RUE Grodnoenergo, who is involved in launching drones, talks about how technology simplifies work: - Using drones in the energy sector is very interesting. Our department
coordinates work and participates in eliminating accidents on overhead lines
power transmissionDrones help detect the cause of accidents and after them
elimination, check how the repair is carried out.Aircraft
make it possible not to waste extra time traveling around hard-to-reach places
areas and see energy facilities from angles that are inaccessible even with
walking tours. This made our task much easier.Newly purchased drones have a zoom feature that allows you to increase
image and detect defects faster, which means reducing time
troubleshooting, clarifies the head of the unmanned aerial objects sector of the Grodno branch, Alexey Bernatsky, and adds that this is not their main advantage over their predecessors:-- During overflights of heating networks, drones with a thermal imaging camera
allow you to detect thermal anomalies, increased heating of objects
heating network, take timely measures and prevent the occurrence
emergency situations. Our branch now pays special attention to
improving the information system where neural networks are used. Our
specialists continue to train artificial intelligence independently
find defects in photographs. The branchs software engineer, Vadim Troitsky, who takes an active part in this, explains: We use neural networks to automate the work process.
The main task is to train AI to process photo and video materials using
drones so that it can immediately recognize defects at power line facilities, compose
reports that specialists will work with in the future. If earlier
employees manually prepared reports on the surveys carried out, then
Now all this is done automatically.UAV operators can already
work in it - upload photographic materials, analyze them and
generate reports. This significantly saves examination time
power lines and increases their reliability.SB.BY
