π Tender Overview
The Regional Government of Arequipa began pouring concrete on the Virgen de Chapi bridge, located on the Arequipa-La Joya road, as part of the final stage of execution of this important road project.
During the day, work is carried out to pour high-resistance concrete (fc = 420 kg/cm2) on the bridge slab, a key component of the structure, which is approximately 400 meters long and has four traffic lanes.
Previously, steel cleaning tasks were carried out through the sandblasting process, under specialized technical supervision, with the aim of guaranteeing optimal conditions for the adhesion of the concrete and the durability of the infrastructure.
The supervisory company specified that the steel only presents a superficial layer as a result of its exposure, which does not affect its integrity, having verified through technical evaluations that there is no corrosion that compromises the quality of the bridge.
The emptying process is carried out progressively and in stages, according to the established schedule, ensuring the correct execution of the work.
The Virgen de Chapi bridge constitutes one of the key components of the Arequipa-La Joya highway, a work that will improve road connectivity, reduce travel times and contribute to decongesting traffic in the city.
With this intervention, the Regional Government of Arequipa continues to promote strategic works that guarantee safe and quality infrastructure for the benefit of the population.
