Operators will have an additional two months to implement the new technological standards for the Fixed Broadband Information System (SIDUSIS). At the request of the market, the Ministry of Digital Affairs postpones their publication until October 14, 2024. They will enter into force on the same day. The information contained in the document describes the technological solutions used in SIDUSIS and the format and method of data transfer by users.
The change in the date of entry into force of the new technological standards is the result of a meeting with representatives of telecommunications chambers and UKE, which took place at the Ministry of Digital Affairs on July 23, 2024. One of the topics discussed was the need to extend the time for entities obliged to report in the system to prepare for the introduction of standards. The market called for more time to test future changes. To meet expectations, the Ministry of Digital Affairs agreed to the postulate and changed the date from which the new technological standards will be in force.
Longer deadline for testing and training
On July 30 at 11.00 a.m., representatives of operators and other entities obliged to report to SIDUSIS will have the opportunity to take part in a special training. Its purpose will be to discuss the changes that will take place after the new technological standards come into force.
The technological standards will be published in the Public Information Bulletin on the subject page of the Minister of Digital Affairs on October 14, 2024.
