Poland National Data Tender

📄 Tender ID: 506946037 📅 Published: 06 Aug 2024

📋 Tender Overview

The process of the National Data Processing Centre's construction project, led by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Digital Poland Project Centre and the Research and Academic Computer Network, has significantly accelerated. In the last six months, a contract was signed with a design office, a contract engineer and a fiber optic contractor.

The National Data Processing Centre (NRCPD) will consist of three modern centres that will ensure the secure storage of data of the Polish public administration, regardless of the global technology giants.

"The construction of the KCPD is not only a step towards increasing data security, but also a fight for Polish's digital sovereignty. We want to ensure that Polish data is stored and managed in a manner consistent with our interests and values. This project was created with a view to future expansion. This investment is a new quality in public data management," said Deputy Minister of Digital Affairs Pawe? Olszewski.

A key investment for the stability of state systems
The construction of the National Data Processing Centre (NRCPD) is a strategic investment that will significantly affect the stability and continuity of operation of key state systems, such as state registers and the government cloud. These systems are the basis for providing essential e-services to citizens and administrations, both on a daily basis and in crisis situations. The new infrastructure will serve government administration units, especially those subordinate to and supervised by the Minister of Digitization, as well as local government units and their trade union and local government legal entities. The project is carried out jointly with the Research and Academic Computer Network, the National Research Institute and the Central Information Technology Centre.

"The KCPD is the largest project of this type in the region. We create centres that are not only efficient, but also environmentally friendly. We plan to use renewable energy sources, which is in line with our responsible development strategy. Cooperation with local institutions and adaptation to environmental requirements are crucial for the success of this project. We are convinced that KCPD will be an extremely important element of Polish's digital transformation," said Rados?aw Nielek, Director of NASK.
