Philippines Fifth Bridge Tender

The Department of Public Works and Highways DPWH - Leyte Fourth District Engineering Office DEO inaugurated on Dec. 3 the newly constructed Alegria Bridge II along Anilao River in this city.The inauguration led by District Engineer Lino Francisco C. Gonzalez were attended by Leyte 4th District Congresswoman Lucy Marie T. Gomez and Ormoc City Mayor Richard I. Gomez together with DPWH section chiefs and staff city councillors and some residents.The bridge contract costs 59588448.42 which comprises the construction of 60.30-meter bridge and 3.66-meter carriageway on both lanes.Construction of the bridge was accomplished on time and is now open to the public.Alegria II Bridge is one of DEOs high impact projects that aims to connect the Ormoc Public Market and City trading area where goods are delivered or what the locals call bagsakan.The bridge provides micro entrepreneurs a faster and easier access to the city trading area that will reduce time money as well as traffic congestion within the city.
