Philippines Dpwh Widens Tender

The Department of Public Works and Highways-Cagayan Second District Engineering Office DPWH-CSDEO completed the widening of Panifuan Bridge located along Manila North Road MNR in Aparri town amounting to P16 million.According to District Engineer Lorna Asuten the Panifuan Bridge measuring 152.64 square meters was widened from two lanes to four lanes to accommodate larger number of motorists and to improve the transport of goods and services in the area. Meanwhile Asuten also informed the public that the widening of other two bridges along MNR namely Nagrangtayan Bridge 291.54 square meters and Langagan Bridge 152.64 square meters are nearing completion with a total cost of P47 million.The widening of these bridges complements our road widening projects which aim to provide the travelling public a safe and faster mobility and to hasten the delivery of basic goods and services the district engineer said.Asuten added that it is their focal responsibility to maintain strengthen and widen the bridges along Manila North Road being one of the major and busiest highways linking the rest of Cagayan and Ilocos Region.
