The DPWH-Eastern Samar District Engineering Office ESDEO is building a quarantine facility for Borongan City in Barangay Songco this city.This facility is reportedly worth P1.958-M said Engr. Jayson Espeso information officer. He said that DPWH has been mandated to construct quarantine facilities per district an additional facility for LGUs.The project added Espeso is the Conversion of Multi-purpose Building to a Quarantine Facility.The facility which started construction on July 2 and is exected to finish this July 15 is located just near the PUI Facility or the Peoples Center.Espeso said that District Engineer Manolo Rojas asked the construction company to hasten the construction job for 15 days instead of the earlier agreed time duration of 30 days.The facility will have 27 ward rooms nurses station receivingswab area nurse quarter frontliners comfort room and three comfort rooms for patients.Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda said that Rep. Maria Fe Abunda also assisted in funding the project.Espeso also recalls that ESDEO is providing transport vehicles for health workers since the COVID-19 period.The department has also provided decontamination services in the Border Control Checkpoints and has also provided PPEs full covered suit and face masks at the different district hospitals and the Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital.
