Philippines Dpwh Completes Tender

The Department of Public Works and Highways DPWH- Third District Engineering Office recently completed the construction of two school buildings for learners in this province.According to district engineer Editha Babaran the first one-storey school building was located at barangay Marabulig II Elementary School in Cauayan City worth P5.5 million while the other three-storey building was constructed for the K to 12 learners of San Mateo Vocational and Industrial High School in San Mateo town amounting to P29.7 million.The continuous construction of K to 12 school buildings is part of the shared objective of the Department of Education DepEd and the Department of Public Works and Highways DPWH in support to the Build Build Build Program of the government Babaran said.Babaran said the new school building at San Mateo Vocational and Industrial HS houses a total of three regular workshop facilities benefiting about 3000 secondary students while the school building at Marabulig II ES holds two classrooms for over 200 pupils.The completion of the projects is a manifestation of DPWHs support to the education program by building and providing educational infrastructures which are responsive to the needs Filipino learners Babaran said.She added that both projects were funded under DepEds Basic Educational Facilities Fund or BEFF.
