Axiora AI, a startup incubated by Startup UNI and winner of Startup Peru 12G, presented the results of a technology that seeks to reduce errors, rework and losses in engineering and construction projects.
The construction industry faces one of its biggest challenges in information management. Plans, technical specifications, budgets, schedules and digital models are usually distributed across multiple platforms and documents, generating inconsistencies that can translate into delays, cost overruns and significant losses during project execution.
Faced with this problem, the Peruvian startup Axiora AI presented the results of a technological solution that incorporates artificial intelligence assistants to optimize the management of construction and engineering projects, allowing processes to be automated, detecting inconsistencies early and improving strategic decision making.
The initiative was announced during the Results Dissemination Workshop of the winning Startup Peru 12G project, held at the National University of Engineering (UNI), where students, professionals and representatives of the innovation ecosystem learned about the progress achieved by the company.
Axiora AI was founded by Erika Pamela Isabel Valle Benites, a civil engineer graduated from the National University of Engineering, who identified first-hand the difficulties that engineering teams face in managing large volumes of technical information in increasingly complex projects.
The developed platform integrates artificial intelligence tools capable of analyzing BIM models, technical documentation and other sources of information relevant to the project. Through specialized digital assistants, the solution automates repetitive tasks, facilitates the review of critical information and helps identify possible inconsistencies before they impact the execution of the work.
The construction sector handles an enormous amount of information that must be continually reviewed. Our objective is to help teams dedicate less time to operational tasks and more time to analysis and decision-making activities that generate value for the project, said Erika Valle during the presentation.
The application of artificial intelligence in these types of processes represents an opportunity to increase the productivity and efficiency of an industry that has traditionally faced challenges related to the coordination of information between multiple actors and specialties.
Axiora AI is part of the portfolio of ventures incubated by Startup UNI, a program of the Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer (DITT) of the National University of Engineering, which promotes the development of technology-based startups with potential for scaling and impact.
Likewise, the project was co-financed by ProInnovate, a program of the Ministry of Production that promotes innovative entrepreneurship through non-refundable funds, contributing to the development of technological solutions capable of addressing strategic challenges for the country.
Axiora AIs experience shows how Peruvian talent and the coordination between academia, entrepreneurship and innovation can generate technologies with the potential to transform key productive sectors, promoting more efficient, digital and data-based construction.
