The head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), together with his delegation, will seek to position Peru as a leading destination in mining investment, exhibiting its geological potential, presenting the new portfolio of exploration projects and its role in the energy transition, attracting global capital and strengthening investor confidence.
It will be a timely participation to expose the new orientation of the mining promotion policy of the government of President Jose Maria Balcazar to the world market, said Minister Alfaro, highlighting Perus role in the global energy transition through the production of critical minerals.
During PDAC 2026, the head of MINEM will develop a busy agenda that includes meetings with mining executives and investors from various parts of the world and attendance at various activities. Among them, the inauguration of the Peruvian Pavilion, on Sunday, March 1, which will offer updated and useful official information on Peruvian mining for investors that will be distributed by MINEM officials.
On Monday, March 2, in the morning, the minister will participate in Peru Day, an entire day dedicated to learning about the various aspects of Peruvian mining and its investment opportunities. The opening of the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX venture Exchange, another unique Peruvian presence in one of the main stages of the global financial system, will take place on Tuesday, March 3, in the morning. In the afternoon he will participate in the CEO & Investors Luncheon, a lunch attended by more than 130 senior executives from mining companies and investment firms interested in investing in Peruvian mining.
