Peruvian Innovators Develop Tender

📄 Tender ID: 533815742 📅 Published: 09 Jun 2026

📋 Tender Overview

Solutions are focused on mapping marine resources, control and minimization of risks in underwater environments. On World Oceans Day, the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) highlights three innovative initiatives developed by Peruvian entrepreneurs and promoted with the technical and financial support of the ProInnovate program and that are focused on protecting and sustainably using marine ecosystems.

Among these projects we have:
Automated fish counter to minimize species mortality
Startup Sciford developed a fish counting system based on computer vision and artificial intelligence, designed to determine size, health and biomass estimation in fish farms. This technological innovation prevents the mortality of the species - frequently caused by the stress of manual counting - and allows the fry to be identified in a timely manner.
Through this solution, the fish farmer accesses precise data in real time through video, managed from an intuitive interface. The information collected is key to optimizing decision making, as it allows you to accurately calculate the amount of food required, regulate water levels, and control other critical factors that impact the breeding and cultivation of species.

2. Qaya: Sustainable fashion accessories made from artisanal fishing waste
This triple impact business model transforms the production chain by recovering waste and losses from artisanal fishing to make bioleather accessories, which are dyed with natural pigments. Their line of sustainable products includes wallets, handbags, footwear, straps, jewelry and face masks.
By giving a second life to these marine by-products and transforming them into high-quality bioleather, Qaya not only generates local economic value, but also prevents the pollution of seas, rivers and soils.

3. Blume: Ocean intelligence technology for sustainable fishing
Using advanced technology that combines sensors, robotics and artificial intelligence, the startup Blume monitors marine biomass in real time. This tool contributes to making fishing operations more efficient, responsible and sustainable, minimizing the direct impact on the marine habitat.
The ocean intelligence services developed by the company provide strategic data that allows its clients to make better operational and environmental decisions.

4. Nereuz: Advanced robotics and analytics for aquaculture and fishing
This technological platform integrates artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) and underwater robotics to examine and monitor ocean ecosystems. Its application makes possible the protection of endangered species, optimizes aquaculture decisions and significantly reduces occupational risks for divers, operators and marine scientists.
Nereuz offers specialized services in the processing of population samples of various species, improving the productive, health and environmental control of underwater systems.
