Local communes of Pocollay and La Yarada Los Palos delivered implements for preparation of breakfast and school lunches in high school schools with full school day. In Tacna, the National Community School Food Program Wasi Mikuna (House food), of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (MIDIS), permanently articulates with local governments, to make possible the proper implementation of educational institutions, with kitchens, household items and belongings, which allow the proper provision of the food service.
As part of this work, through the Tacna Territorial Unit of Wasi Mikuna, the implementation of three educational institutions recently incorporated into the social program of Midis was achieved, under the high school modality with full school day. These are the educational institutions Federico Barreto and Manuel Flores Calvo, which they received from the mayor of the District Municipality of Pocollay, Hugo Garcia Mamani, an industrial kitchen and gas ball.
Meanwhile, the Alfonso Ugarte Educational Institution of the Los Palos La Yarada District, received a kitchen, a refrigerator and a game of pots, from the District Mayor, Manuel Cueva Huisa. In total, there are 1218 users of the primary and secondary levels of the beneficiaries with the efforts.
The Head of the Tacna Territorial Unit of Wasi Mikuna, Enrique Giovanni Ordonez Lopez, highlighted the importance of work articulated with local governments, which allows to provide schools with better conditions for the preparation and consumption of breakfast and school lunches.
