The Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Training, Jesús Baldeón Vásquez, said that the commitment of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) is the insertion of young people, older adults and people with disabilities into the labor market.
This was expressed during the delivery of certificates of labor competencies in the occupational profile of footwear manufacturing, in San Juan de Miraflores, where he highlighted the attitude of the adult population to train to enter the formal labor market.
He added, in that sense, that the MTPE is aimed at providing certification to those who already have competence in the trade they do, but who do not have the documents to accredit their work experience.
For this purpose, Jesús Baldeón added, alliances have been made with institutions that evaluate the competencies of those who have experience in the trade, so that this population sector is more employable.
The MTPE, through the National Programme for Employability (PNPE), implements the service of evaluation and certification of labor competences, in order to contribute to improving the employability of the economically active population (EAP) at the national level.
Baldeón Vásquez was present at the ceremony of delivery of certificates of the evaluation service in the occupational profile of footwear manufacturing in San Juan de Miraflores, in which 40 workers received the respective certificate.
Likewise, recognition was given to the companies Calzatura Cavalich SRL, Clifor SRL, Corporación Cayaracc SAC, Calzados Maju SAC and Comercio y Manufactura Triple SAC, for their social responsibility in participating in the certification of their employees in the occupational profile of footwear manufacturing.
In Barranco
On the other hand, the Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Training also participated in the Barranco Job Fair, where 25 companies offered 1,064 job vacancies; Vocational guidance was also provided to fifth-year secondary students from various schools in that district.
He said that the MTPE is focused on young people being able to be inserted into the labor market, for which it conducts training courses and professional guidance, so that schoolchildren do not make a mistake in choosing the profession they wish to study. In this regard, he emphasized that 60% of young people who have studied a certain career, do not work in the specialty they have chosen.
The mayor of Barranco, Jéssica Vargas, thanked the work carried out by the MTPE to establish alliances with local governments in order to promote formal and decent employment for the benefit of the vulnerable population of the districts.
Deputy Minister Baldeón Vásquez delivered, in a symbolic way, the Single Labor Certificate granted by the MTPE free of charge to those who are looking for employment and need this document that contains the certificates of criminal, judicial, domicile and other records.
