π Tender Overview
The inspections will be carried out in block 12 of the Malecon de la Marina, next to the Municipal Sports Complex Manuel Bonilla. The Urban Transportation Authority for Lima and Callao (ATU), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), announced that inspections to vehicles that provide student transport service will continue until Friday, March 28 in the Miraflores district, with the aim of guaranteeing a safe and formal transfer of schoolchildren.
To do this, a space has been enabled in block 12 of the Malecon de la Marina, next to the Municipal Sports Complex Manuel Bonilla, where the owners of these vehicles can approach from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. m. until 1 p. m. Among the main requirements required by the ATU to provide the school mobility service, they have safety badges, such as the plate and the phrase student service on the outside, fixed seats, non -slip floors, safety belts, among others. Likewise, the unit must have, mandatory, a booklet that shows the detailed information of the person driving the vehicle.
Inspections will be in charge of ATU personnel. If in the unit there is any irregularity or does not meet any requirement, the owner must correct it in order to provide a safe service for students. The ATU recalls that providing this service without authorization contemplates the retention of the drivers brief and the internment of the unit in a deposit, in addition to the payment of a fine of S/10 700 (equivalent to two UIT).
On the other hand, the ATU has made available to parents the link https://systems.atu.gob.pe/consultavehiculo to check if the unit is authorized to provide the student transport service. Also, at https://system.atu.gob.pe/consultascredial/ it can be verified if the mobility conductor is enabled.
It should be remembered that from February 18 and March 14, school mobilities were verified in Santiago de Surco, La Molina, La Perla, Magdalena del Mar, San Martin de Porres, Surquillo, San Luis, San Juan de Lurigancho, Los Olivos, San Juan de Miraflores, Santa Maria de Huachipa, San Miguel and Santa Anita. The ATU reaffirms its commitment to continue working to provide a quality, safe and sustainable transport service for Lima and Chalacos.
