The Regional Director of Production of Ucayali Mariano Rebaza Alfaro together with the president of the Administrative Commission of the National Intercultural University of the Amazon UNIA and other university authorities inaugurated the fifth laboratory of tropical fruit processes so that students of the Agroindustrial Engineering career develop their theoretical and practical academic activities and train as entrepreneurial professionals and in the future generate their own economic income leading their own company and giving added value to Amazonian resources.The inauguration was held in the morning hours of Thursday February 2 in one of the environments of the UNIA where the administrative part teachers and students showed the products they have been making such as Amazonian fruit nectars artisanal drinks cheeses chifles being the flagship product the panetn which were tasted by the authorities present Witnesses of the progress that has been achieved in the alma mater of intercultural education which welcomes in its institutional bosom more than 2 thousand students in its 04 professional careers.Jorge Vela Alvarado president of the university commission said that this moment is important for academic life at the university which currently need to have intellectual capacity have the necessary equipment and infrastructure and achieve first-class professional training so the support of the Regional Government of Ucayali is required through specific agreements to give opportunity to the native peoples which hosts 24 ethnolinguistic groups including from the Amazon region to Madre de Dios.The head of the Produce sector on behalf of the regional governor of Ucayali Manuel Gambini Rupay greeted the authorities of the prestigious university teachers and students who in his speech recalled that he was part of the management commission for the creation of the UNIA professor in the faculty of Aquaculture Agroforestry for 04 years where professionals are trained who will lead the destinies of the region and the country Also manage biodiversity resources and contribute to improving the quality of life of Amazonian families.Finally the regional official congratulated the commission for this important advance in favor of academic training with the implementation of laboratories later invited to witness work carried out in fish farming laboratories and aquaculture ponds used with Amazonian species which requires greater economic resources to improve technology He said that the university has been preparing technical files for them to be included in the portfolio of projects of the Regional Government of Ucayali.
