π Tender Overview
School enrollment process 2025 prioritizes the virtual modality in order to avoid queues and speed up procedures. Today is the deadline for parents to apply for a vacancy and ensure that their children have access to one of the 1,741 public educational institutions in Metropolitan Lima, according to the school enrollment schedule established by the Ministry of Education (Minedu).
Parents, guardians or legal representatives of schoolchildren can apply for a vacancy virtually through the platform https://matriculalima.drelm.gob.pe. Applications will enter the review stage from January 6 to 17 and the allocation of vacancies will be made between January 20 and 28.
The head of the Regional Directorate of Education of Metropolitan Lima (DRELM), Marcos Tupayachi, reported that the 2025 school enrollment process prioritizes the virtual modality in order to avoid queues and speed up procedures, as well as prevent scams by unscrupulous people.
The official said that the allocation of school vacancies is not in order of arrival, nor do those who do it in person have an advantage, and recommended using the digital channels of the Minedu to do the procedure virtually from a computer, cell phone or laptop.
Tupayachi said that the 7 local educational management units of Metropolitan Lima will supervise this process in schools to ensure that it is carried out with an inclusive and intercultural approach, without any type of discrimination, in order to ensure the right to education of all children and adolescents.
He indicated that the prioritization criteria for the allocation of vacancies provide that two vacancies per classroom be reserved for students with mild or moderate disabilities. If these cases do not occur, these vacancies will be assigned to other students.
Parents who need assistance and guidance during the virtual registration process have the following guidance channels available: telephone switchboard 01 500 6177, WhatsApp 944 841 691 / 944 841 779 and email orientacion@drelm.gob.pe.
