📋 Tender Overview
With an investment that exceeds 818 thousand soles, the modern services of the Technical Unit (UT) Cajamarca, dependent on CITEmadera Lima, were presented. In this way, the development of the wood and furniture sector is promoted, strengthening technical capacities and specialized training in the industry.
This was reported during the visit of the executive director of the ITP, Sergio Rodríguez Soria, who toured the new services such as the "Area of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), equipment, forest management services and land management".
In the aforementioned area, training services, technical assistance, R + D + i for forest management and land management are provided, through the use of technology such as drones, workstation, plotter, software for modeling and mapping. In addition to the Systematization for the creation of Forest Aptitude Zoning Maps for Pine and Eucalyptus species.
Next, the head of the ITP visited the "Area of technological services, business management services, continuous improvement processes and circular economy", which provides technological information services, training, certification of labor skills in Industrial Wood Carpentry, Technical Assistance in Business Management, Continuous Improvement Processes and Circular Economy.
In the period 2021 to May 2023, the UT provided a total of 2,056 technology transfer and innovation services, benefiting a total of 1,275 customers. Now, with the presence of the UT Cajamarca of the Technological Institute of Production (ITP), of the Ministry of Production (Produce), the continuous effort to decentralize access to technical and technological resources is reflected, strengthening the MSEs and entrepreneurs of said productive chain.
Signing of agreement
Following the presentation of the new services of the UT Cajamarca, the executive director of the ITP, participated in the signing of a Performance Agreement with the CITEagropecuario CEDEPAS Norte (private), in order to improve the coverage of new and / or improved services, in addition to those it has.
The agreement, valued at S / 2 ?376 546. 34 (two million three hundred seventy-six thousand five hundred forty-six with thirty-four cents 34/100 soles), will be assumed by both parties as follows. The TPI will finance fifty percent (50%) of the total amount of the project, which will be indicated and credited in the compliance reports, as appropriate.
In this way, CITEagropecuario will be able to raise the level of technological, productive business and commercial innovation of associative companies and MSMEs in the agro-industrial sector, to contribute to the improvement of their capacity in the regions of Piura, Cajamarca, La Libertad, Ancash and Lima.

After completing the presentation and signing of the agreement, the authorities present participated in an exhibition of products from companies served by UT Cajamarca, CITEpapa and Andean Crops and CITEagropecuario CEDEPAS Norte (both private).
