π Tender Overview
Minister Morgan Quero points out that, in this way, access to education is guaranteed in the most remote areas of the country. Thanks to an agreement between the Ministry of Education (MINEDU) and the Ministry of Defense (Mindef), a group of teachers and their relatives were transferred today for the beginning of the school year on the first flight from Pucallpa to Puerto Breu, capital of the district of Yurua, province of Atalaya, Ucayali region.
It is planned that, in the next few days, 169 people, including teachers and relatives, will be transported in 8 support flights.
For the identification of the beneficiaries of the flights, the validation of the information and the coordination of the approach, the MINEDU works in an articulated manner with the Regional Directorate of Education of Ucayali, the UGEL Colonel Portillo and the District Municipality of Yurua.
In this regard, the Minister of Education, Morgan Quero, said that on February 10 of this year, the Minedu signed an inter -institutional collaboration agreement with the Mindef to facilitate the transfer of teachers and their families to areas of difficult access for the good start of the school year.
He noted that this agreement will allow the transfer of 1387 teachers and 2563 relatives to remote and border areas, which will benefit more than 17,000 students and 476 educational services.
He indicated that the first support flights were made between March 8 and 11 in the province of Purus, in the Ucayali region, and in them 301 people were transported, including teachers and relatives.
In this way, the Minedu guarantees the transfer of teachers and access to education in the farthest areas of the country, which is only reached by air, he said.
He also noted that the same agreement has allowed the transfer, by river and air, of the educational material prepared by the Minedu to be delivered to the students in their return to the classrooms.
