The National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil), through its Municipality of Metropolitan Lima, partially suspended the activities of the work called "Improvement of the services of information technology solutions for the attention of the users of the Sunat", which is executed at Av. Jorge Chávez cdra.11 in the district of Surco.
The inspector in charge, accompanied by the mayor of Metropolitan Lima, Linda Roncal Espejo, toured the facilities of the project in charge of the Lima Executing Consortium, in order to verify the safety conditions both in the electrical part, as well as in work at height and excavations.
The mayor of Metropolitan Lima reminded the construction workers of Sunafil's willingness to ensure their labor rights and, above all, that safe conditions are provided in the development of work.
"A priority for Sunafil is that workers who work in the construction sector have the appropriate implements and work in safe conditions to avoid endangering their lives. Observations have been detected in an inspection tour that must be corrected immediately," said Roncal Espejo.
After completing the inspection of the work, which is expected to be inaugurated within two years, the measure of partial stoppage was taken, thus protecting the lives of 70 workers.
