The National Registry of Identification and Civil Status ( Reniec ) begins this Monday, December 4, its fourth campaign to massify the electronic DNI ( DNIe ) throughout Peru. This strategy will allow citizens who have a blue or yellow DNI to obtain their first electronic ID for only S/ 30, as part of the 50,000 procedures authorized by the registry entity.
“So far, more than four million Peruvians have an electronic DNI, and this has been achieved with our strategic plan to massify this document. This fourth campaign is definitely an opportunity to encourage the population to be part of the new era of identification,” highlighted Carmen Velarde Koechlin, national head of Reniec.
Citizens who want to migrate to the DNIe only have to go to any of the entity's 114 offices, where the digital ID is processed and printed, as long as they have previously made the payment of S/ 30 at any Banco de la Nación agency. or thepagolo.pe website/application with the concept 02121 - 'DNI Renewal'.
Users will only be able to access their first eDNI if they were to make any rectification of images and data, change the yellow DNI to those of legal age from 17 years of age or the change of the yellow DNI to those of legal age (18 years).
“With the DNIe, the citizen obtains his digital identity, which will allow him to access all the electronic services that the State makes available to him,” mentioned the leader of the autonomous organization.
The DNIe has a usual cost of S/ 41 and has many more benefits and security elements than the conventional DNI.
