Press release No. 5-2025-PERU PURCHASESCall for brand representatives to participate in workshops on environmental sustainability criteria.
Brand representatives and owners in the food, medical products, industrial goods, electrical materials and technological products sectors are invited to participate in the workshops on environmental sustainability criteria in the Electronic Catalogs, organized by the Public Procurement Center - PERU COMPRAS and the Inter-American Development Bank - IDB.
These spaces for information and dialogue will take place on January 30 and 31, 2025, with the participation of exhibitors and panelists who are experts in sustainable public procurement. Those interested can register for free at this link. The workshops will be held according to the published schedule.
In total, there are up to 23 Electronic Catalogs of goods in which sustainability criteria will be incorporated, with the aim that the available products comply with the established environmental standards. You can review the complete list at this link.
Brand owners and representatives register their Product Sheets on the Electronic Catalogues platform, and therefore play a key role in the incorporation of environmental sustainability criteria.
PERU COMPRAS, with the support of the IDB, promotes the inclusion of environmental criteria in the Electronic Catalogues. This collaboration is part of the IDBs actions to include the environmental approach in public procurement processes, aligning with our countrys environmental sustainability commitments, such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement.
