ITP CITE network is a body attached to the Ministry of Production. CONCYTECs ProCiencia is responsible for capturing, managing and channeling resources intended for the development of science.
A group of 16 scholarship recipients from ProCiencias Doctoral Program in Agroindustrial Engineering visited the modern laboratories of the Technological Institute of Production (ITP), which are part of the Directorate of Research, Development, Innovation and Technology Transfer (DIDITT), located in Callao.
Attendees with a mention in Advanced Transformation in Andean Grains and Tubers toured the sensory and physicochemical evaluation laboratories, as well as the DIDITT bioactive compounds and biotechnology laboratory. Next, they learned about the work carried out in the canned and preformed pilot plants of the CITEpesquero Callao.
This initiative, framed in an Inter-institutional Alliance between the ITP CITE network of the Ministry of Production (Produce) and the National University of Santa (Nuevo Chimbote), seeks to strengthen the articulation (established during 2023), the commitment and participation of associated entities in the development of doctoral programs.
The visit of the scholarship recipients not only strengthens their academic and practical training, but also contributes to consolidating the ties of collaboration between the institutions involved in research and development in the agroindustrial sector.
The Doctorate Program in Agroindustrial Engineering with a mention in Advanced Transformation in Andean Grains and Tubers is part of ProCiencias efforts to advance research and sustainable development of the countrys agroindustrial sector.
The day included the participation of international professionals, Atma-Sol Bustos (Bolivia), Edgardo Calandria (Argentina), Jose Martin Ramos Diaz, (Peruvian who lives in Finland) and Luz Paucar Menacho, technical manager of the doctoral program that won the contest.
What is the CITE network?
The Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer Centers promote innovation and promote the use of new technologies among producers, companies, associations and cooperatives.
They constitute the executing arm of the ITP in promoting technological innovation, promoting applied research, specialization, technological transfer and the dissemination of technological knowledge in each productive chain.
