π Tender Overview
Within the framework of its 75th anniversary, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) organized this Tuesday, April 30, the "Mega Marathon of Employment", a massive call for labor linkage that brought together 83 companies that made more than 2200 formal jobs available to the attending public.
The main objective of the activity, held at the MTPE Employment Center in JesΓΊs MarΓa, was to facilitate the labor insertion of job seekers, with special emphasis on inexperienced young people, older adults and people with disabilities.
The Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate, led the activity together with the regional director of Labor of Metropolitan Lima, Ever Ruiz Vargas, and the executive president of the National Civil Service Authority (SERVIR), Guillermo Valdivieso Payva.
In his speech, Maurate highlighted the importance of constant training to increase employability. "In Peru there is work, 75% of companies are looking for workers. The problem is that they do not find the required competencies," he said and urged attendees to take advantage of the MTPE's "CapacΓta-T" platform to access free training in partnership with prestigious institutions.
For his part, Valdivieso highlighted the role of the MTPE in promoting decent employment and announced that SERVIR's "Talento PerΓΊ" platform will soon be integrated into the Employment Center, offering more than 4100 jobs in the public sector.
The "Mega Marathon" had various components such as the Employment Marathon for People with Disabilities, My First Job for young people without experience, Silver Marathon for older adults, among others. In addition, talks, vocational guidance and the free obtaining of the Single Labor Certificate were provided.
With this initiative, the MTPE reaffirms its commitment to promote employability and decent job opportunities for all Peruvians, especially the most vulnerable groups.
