Installation of the second modular bridge will facilitate a more fluid transit and improve road safety in the area.The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) reports that the assembly of the second modular bridge at kilometer 75 of the Panamericana Norte, located in the district of Chancay, province of Huaral (Lima).
This infrastructure, assembled by the Concessionaire Red Vial 5 S.A. (previously Norvial), will improve road safety and facilitate a more fluid transit in the area, benefiting drivers and cargo transport.
As part of the works, the main structure of the bridge was mounted and a pedestrian catwalk was installed. In addition, the works were completed in the structural base and in the protection walls of both ends. At the same time, the necessary accesses for the demolition and withdrawal of the collapsed bridge were enabled.
It is important to note that, to complete the installation, the authorization of the Public Ministry is required to proceed with the demolition of the old bridge. Once this phase is completed, the final positioning of the modular bridge, the placement of roofs and metallic floors, and the construction of a wall against impact will be advanced.
Once these stages have been completed, load tests will be executed to verify the stability of the structure and, subsequently, the infrastructure will be enabled to restore traffic in both directions of the road.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications will continue to supervise the actions of the Red Vial 5 S.A. Concessionaire. to guarantee the culmination and commissioning of the second modular bridge in the shortest possible time.
