π Tender Overview
This according to the latest statements of the representatives of said Professional College. With the objective of guaranteeing the security and optimal operation of the road infrastructure, the Provincial Municipality of Piura (MPP) has requested the College of Engineers of Peru - Departmental Council of Piura the remission of the technical documentation that supports the statements made today in different media on the state of the Caceres and Sanchez Cerro bridges.
Through Office No. 085-2025-GDTYGI/MPP, the commune seeks to know the evaluation criteria applied and the results obtained in the inspection carried out by the College of Engineers, in order to use them as an input in decision making and in the actions to be implemented for the maintenance and improvement of these important structures.
Likewise, the MPP Territorial Development and Investment Management Management has informed the College of Engineers the Structural and Diagnostic Evaluation Report of the Caceres and Sanchez Cerro bridges, prepared by the consultant Ing. Rafael Eduardo Lama More.
The Piurana commune report determined that the state of conservation of the Caceres bridge is bad, which implies the need for joint intervention between various institutions. The Manager of Territorial Development and Investment Management, Gerardo Alvarado Machado, informed that the diagnosis indicates narrowing, vulnerable defenses for premature deterioration of the structure, being factors that increase the level of risk.
The official explained that the Caceres bridge, more than 30 years old, has support pillars within the Piura River channel, which exposes it to adverse conditions. The technical report was based on an analysis of 13 structural components, evaluating the substructure, superstructure, shoes, pillars, expansion joints and bridge board, among other critical elements.
On the other hand, the study determined that the Sanchez Cerro bridge is in good condition, although preventive maintenance is recommended to guarantee its long -term safety. Among the suggested actions are improvements on the board, rolling folder, railings and neoprene supports.
As part of this process, the Municipality has extended an invitation to the College of Engineers to participate in a work table on Friday, March 21 at 3 pm, where measures and strategies will be addressed to improve the citys road infrastructure.
The MPP reaffirms its commitment to the road safety and well -being of citizens, promoting work articulated with specialists and technical entities to guarantee the integrity of the structures that connect the city.
