📋 Tender Overview
Minam made virtual sessions with representatives of all regions of the country to guide the proper use of the solid waste management information system. With the objective of improving the correct registration and reporting of information on the management of solid waste at the national level, the Ministry of Environment (Minam) carried out virtual training workshops aimed at officials of local governments in the use of the system Information for solid waste management (Sigersol).
In total, there were 862 officials of provincial and district municipalities of all regions of the country who participated in these training sessions, which provided fundamental information in compliance with the Law of Integral Solid Waste Management approved by DL No. 1278 and its Regulations.
The purpose of these workshops was to ensure that a greater number of municipalities fulfill their responsibilities to report information on the management of their solid waste in an efficient and timely manner, improving the quality of the reported information and their adequate use for decision making .
The workshops took place between February 10 and 14, 2025 through five sessions. In the first session the municipalities of Ancash, Pasco, Madre de Dios, Junin, Tumbes and Lambayeque participated. In the second and third session the municipalities of Puno, Ayacucho, Arequipa and Moquegua, in addition to Ica, Cusco, Apurimac, Huanuco and Ucayali. Meanwhile, in the fourth and fifth session the municipalities of Cajamarca, La Libertad, Lima and Callao participated, in addition to San Martin, Huancavelica, Tacna, Piura, Amazonas and Loreto.
Deadline for report
The municipalities have until March 31, 2025 to present the report of activities for the management of their solid waste of the 2024 period, as well as the quarterly report of the fourth quarter of 2024.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Environment continues to attend to the municipalities in a personalized way and through virtual meetings in order to continue supporting so that the report is delivered in a timely manner.
