π Tender Overview
For this 2025, the Wasiymi have a new design that expands its size from 26 to 52 square meters. More efficient homes The Government, through the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), uses 3 types of sustainable and easy access materials for communities where it builds Wasiymi bioclimatic homes (Quechua word that means my house), which, in addition to facilitating its acquisition, employment and development of the local economy is generated.
For this, the National Rural Housing Program (PNVR) of the Ministry of Housing, which executes these homes together with the same beneficiary population organized in executing nuclei, has 3 Wasiymi designs: brick and adobe for saw areas; and Bloquet in jungle areas.
For these interventions we work jointly with local governments nationwide, with the aim of safeguarding the integrity and well -being of families in poverty and extreme poverty of rural areas affected by frost and cold.
The use of brick
The brick wasymi are implemented in the Andean regions of the country from 3,500 m.s.n.m., in order to combat frost. This material is also used in constructions due to its seismic resistance, less need for maintenance and because it contributes to optimizing the execution times of the constructions.
Bloquet construction or block
In the areas where the cold is presented, the material used is the Bloquet or concrete block, due to its resistance and versatility, which provide greater durability and resistance to adverse climatic conditions. This design is implemented from 1,500 m.s.n.m. in the high jungle zone and is appropriate for cold times.
Improved adobe
This traditional material made of mud and straw, is mainly used in areas where the weather is dry, due to its thermal properties that help keep warm homes in winter.
This design is implemented from 3,500 m.s.n.m. In the Andean regions of the country (Sierra), with the purpose of fighting frosts.
New design
For this 2025, the new Wasiymi design expands the size of the houses from 26 to 44.4 square meters if they are brick houses; From 26 to 52.29 square meters if adobe is used; and from 26 to 41.65 square meters in the blothals.
These bioclimatic houses will have two bedrooms, a plug area (to avoid the entry of cold currents that come from outside), a common use environment for the room and a multifunctional space that could be destined for a kitchen.
Fact
From 2014 to 2024 the PNVR built 78,513 rural homes, of which 48 537 are from Adobe, 12 981 of Bloquet, 16 074 brick and 921 wood.
