These include the Huaral PAT, the Chancay PDU and the Huaral-Aucallama PDU, which are part of the area of influence of the Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal. The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS) provided technical assistance in 8 regions of the country throughout 2024, for the development of 28 planning instruments, which will allow the orderly growth of provinces and districts at the national level.
Through the General Directorate of Policies and Regulation in Housing and Urban Planning, the MVCS assisted local governments in the regions of Lambayeque, Cusco, Piura, Tumbes, Lima, Amazonas, Huanuco and Arequipa.
In this way, 28 plans were developed: 8 Territorial Development Plans (PAT); 2 Metropolitan Development Plans (PDM); 14 Urban Development Plans (PDU); and 4 Urban Development Schemes (EU). Of the total, 10 have been completed and the rest are in process.
Among the technical assistance provided, the following stand out: the Huaral PAT, the Chancay PDU and the Huaral-Aucallama PDU, which are within the area of influence of the new Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal.
Likewise, the Ministry of Housing provided technical assistance for the preparation of the PAT and PDM of Piura, within the framework of reconstruction with changes; in addition, an agreement was signed with the Provincial Municipality of Arequipa, for assistance in the development of the PDM, taking into account that this city is one of the most populated in the country.
