Foreign Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea referred to the partnership between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Microsoft. She pointed out that this initiative is aimed at building greater digital capabilities within the framework of the APEC Citizen initiative that was conceived by Peru and that has had no precedents in other editions. It focuses on promoting the transition towards a formal and digital economy.

For her part, the general manager of Microsoft Peru, Giovanna Cortez indicated that at Microsoft Peru we have been committed for 30 years to our mission of empowering people and organizations so that they can do more, and we understand that digital skills are key in this empowerment process. The strength of alliances such as the one we have established with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and APEC is fundamental, since it offers Peruvians access to the most advanced digital knowledge, promoting innovation, opening doors to new opportunities and helping to transform the individual and community development model. Working together, we can close the digital gap to ensure that no one is excluded and promote a more inclusive and fair economy, said the general manager of Microsoft Peru, Giovanna Cortez.

This initiative is aimed at all Peruvian citizens and residents over 18 years of age. The registration process will be open from July 25 until the assigned places are filled.
