Peru Minister Daniel Tender

📄 Tender ID: 496006886 📅 Published: 20 Oct 2023

📋 Tender Overview

The Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate Romero, carries out activities in La Libertad where he urged young people to study technical careers, which are those that have the greatest demand in the current labor market, with which they will be able to access formal employment.

During his participation in the mega job fair “Chambita is looking for you”, which takes place in Trujillo, the head of the MTPE highlighted that this type of professions, especially those linked to computing and digital skills, are the ones that receive better remuneration than university careers.

“A university degree can be very expensive in the process, because it is five or six years of studies that mean a large outlay of money for parents and when they finish their studies, they do not work because they chose a career that has no job demand. . On the other hand, a technical degree can quickly insert you into the formal labor market and generate better resources than university degrees,” he emphasized.

Daniel Maurate stated that, with this purpose, a supreme decree has been published today that relaunches the Productive Youth program, whose objective is to strengthen and improve the employability of people aged 15 years and older, with emphasis on the youth population, in situations of poverty, extreme poverty and/or socio-labor vulnerability through job training, promotion of productive self-employment and certification of labor skills, which responds to labor demand.

Relaunches Llamkasun Peru
Previously, the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion met with mayors of the region to explain the relaunch of the Llamkasun Peru temporary employment program, which now allows the execution of works for up to 1.2 million soles.

After a meeting with the regional governor César Acuña Peralta, the head of the MTPE thanked the presence of 95% of Liberteño mayors who attended the workshop “Capacity development in local governments for the generation of temporary jobs – La Libertad 2023”, through the which explained to them the new twist of this temporary employment program.

He specified that now, municipalities will be able to carry out works for up to 1 million 200 thousand soles, for the benefit of populations in vulnerable situations, such as women, young people, older adults and people with some type of disability.

He stated that now, through Llamkasun Perú, they will focus on carrying out large-scale works such as construction of classrooms for schools, bridges, tracks, sidewalks, among others that are necessary for the community.

So far this year, until August 31, the aforementioned temporary employment program has carried out 146 immediate intervention activities, through which it generated 6,321 temporary jobs, with a budget of S/ 20,124,117.

64% of these jobs were filled by women. Likewise, of the total number of participants, 2 were victims of the period of violence from 1980 to 2000; 149 victims of gender violence; 265 people with disabilities; and 84 relatives of people with severe disabilities registered in the Contigo program.
