Citizen contribution will contribute to strengthening the environmental management of these vital spaces for ecological balance and biodiversity. The Ministry of Environment (Minam) today published a project of Supreme Decree and exposure of reasons to receive the contributions and consultations of citizenship, in order to identify and promote priority interventions in the hydrographic basins within the framework of an environmental management of That type of ecosystems.
Citizenship in general can contribute their opinions and/or suggestions, within fifteen calendar days, from the day after the publication of this project. For this purpose, the interested parties must send their contributions to the Minam headquarters (Av. Antonio Mirocasada No. 425, first floor, Magdalena del Mar, Lima) or via email consultationsdgpiga@minam.gob.pe. Strategic importance
In accordance with the new Regulation of the Framework Law of the National Environmental Management System (Law No. 28245) approved through the D.S. No. 014-2024-MINAM, this sector leads the environmental management of the hydrographic basins, for which purpose it will establish the articulation mechanisms with the public entities of the different levels of government, of the private sector and of civil society that act on that type of ecosystems nationwide.
In this legal framework, interventions will be destined to protect and recover the quality of the environment, ensure the provision of ecosystem services, improve the quality of life of people and other objectives of the National Environment Policy.
