The Minister of the Environment, Juan Carlos Castro, will arrive in the area of northern Peru in the coming days.Talara.- A technical team from the Ministry of the Environment (Minam) and the Environmental Assessment and Oversight Agency (OEFA) arrived in the district of Lobitos, in Piura, to hold a meeting with the mayor of that commune and the artisanal fishermens associations of the area.
Mayor Ricardo Bancayan and the president of the Fishermens Association, Jorge Periche, participated in the meeting to establish the next measures to be adopted, as well as the arrival -in the next few days- of the Minister of the Environment, Juan Carlos Castro.
In this context, the importance of the joint work between the central and regional governments was emphasized, together with the municipality and civil society to seek comprehensive solutions for the benefit of the population and to jointly mitigate the environmental impacts generated.
