Arequipa Regional Government supports national executive initiativeWith the support of the Regional Production Management of the Regional Government of Arequipa, the Ministry of Production, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), developed the Participatory Workshop: Internal Trade Roadmap for the Modernization of Supply Markets 2025-2028.
The event brought together merchants from different supply centers and aimed to identify the main problems that affect this sector to promote a space for constructive dialogue to generate proposals that contribute to its modernization.
In this context, participants had the opportunity to contribute their experiences and suggestions to improve working conditions, infrastructure and commercial dynamics in supply centers.
The new Internal Trade Roadmap, which will be developed from these workshops, seeks to improve commercial dynamics and strengthen the competitiveness of markets, promoting a more sustainable, efficient model adapted to the needs of the sector.
The active participation of traders is key to the success of this ambitious modernisation project, the impact of which is expected to benefit not only market operators, but also consumers and the regional economy as a whole.
