π Tender Overview
Indecopi issued two consumption alerts regarding risks in Mazda vehicles, model CX 60, due to problems in the configuration of their automatic braking and engine software.
As reported by Derco PerΓΊ SA, 41 vehicles require immediate attention because they would present a possible risk due to the lack of updating the automatic braking system software that would lead to problems such as the unwanted activation of the corresponding indicator on the dashboard. In more critical situations, it could trigger automatic brake action (without user control) generating a potential risk of crash.
Likewise, 11 vehicles of this make and model were called for review due to a problem in the software that controls the combustion engine and electric motor that, if not updated, could cause loss of power, thus generating a risk of accident detrimental to the safety of passengers.
In this regard, Derco PerΓΊ SA, a company that imports these vehicles, requested the Directorate of the National Consumer Protection Authority of Indecopi to grant an extension to send complete information on the alerts, so the contact information for the Consumers and the measures they will implement to reduce or mitigate these risks will be communicated later, however, it is recommended to contact their dealerships to request appropriate care of their vehicles.
Through the Hazardous Products and Services Alert System https://www.alertasdeconsumo.gob.pe/ , Indecopi warns citizens about possible risks of products or services marketed in the national market and announces the actions undertaken by the companies and competent public entities, to mitigate this situation.
