Senace, through Directorial Resolution No. 00008-2025-SENACE-PE/DEAR of January 30, 2025, granted approval to the Fifth Technical Report on the Andaychagua Mining Unit, presented by Volcan Compania Minera S.A.A., a project located in the Huay Huay district, Yauli province, Junin.
The resolution provides that the implementation of the modifications proposed through the fifth ITS implies the generation of non-significant negative environmental impacts, which have environmental management measures for their prevention, control and mitigation.
The mining company complied with the criteria and provisions required in the Environmental Protection and Management Regulation for Mining Exploitation, Beneficiation, General Labor, Transportation and Storage Activities, approved by Supreme Decree No. 040-2014-EM, in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 120-2014-MEM-DM.
The ITS is an environmental management instrument necessary to carry out modifications or extensions that generate non-significant impacts on the environment, or that involve technological improvements in an investment project.
