The general director of the National Institute of Childrens Health (INSN), Dr. Carlos Urbano, approved the architectural plans of the Contingency Plan Improvement and Expansion of the Health Services of the INSN, district of Brena, province of Lima, proposed by the National Health Investment Program (Pronis) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), and which is linked to the new infrastructure of the historic pediatric center.

In this way, the highest authority validated the Pronis proposal on the Contingency Plan, that is, the distribution of the areas that will be located in the premises located on Avenida Brasil 660, in front of the hospital complex.

The approved project contemplates three stages. The first consists of the construction of a 12-story building where the external offices (floors 2 to 6), administration and the Executive Office for Support to Specialized Research and Teaching (OEAIDE) would operate.

Meanwhile, the second and third stages will be the works (demolition and construction) to be carried out on the current land occupied by the institute, which has been divided into two sectors.

Dr. Carmen Bendezu Quiroz, Coordinator of Centennial Projects and Coordinator of the INSN, and who represents the Preinvestment-Pronis Unit, said that todays meeting was about the approval of plans. We made small adjustments to the Plan, such as increasing the size of the stairs and modifications in the distribution of areas on the first and second floors, she explained.

The architectural plans compiled in two pages were signed by the general director of the INSN and the administrative and assistance personnel who belong to the technical team involved in the Contingency Plan. Among them are Dr. Mario Tabuchi, Executive Director of General Surgery; Dr. Pedro Amoretti, Director of Diagnosis and Treatment; economist Edith Llanos, Director of the Strategic Planning Office; engineer Alberto Gonzales, head of the General Services Office.

The architectural plans also had the signatures of Dr. Freddy Osorio, representative of the Medical Corps, and heads of other units involved in the project.
