📋 Tender Overview
Due to the heavy rains and adverse climatic events that are affecting various departments of the country, the Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute (INGEMMET) has decided to intervene, according to their functions, urgently in the areas of greatest geological risk. These actions seek to safeguard the infrastructure and safety of the affected communities.
With the aim of technically evaluating and informing about geological hazards, Ingemmet has deployed field brigades in coordination with the Executive and Regional Emergency Operations Centers (COER) and Sector (COES) in the departments of Apurimac, Arequipa and Ica. The brigades will be touring the Apurimac department to evaluate the damage and provide the necessary assistance in the following locations: Chacna, Lucre, Tintay, Chapimarca, Colcabamba, Toraya, Ihuayllo, Capaya, Yanac , Chahuanca, Caraybamba and Cotaruse. The brigades left early Monday, guaranteeing a quick and effective response.
The Executive President of INGEMMET, Dr. Humberto Chirif Rivera, said that given the recent emergencies for heavy rains, our team has quickly mobilized to evaluate geological risks in the affected areas and provide precise technical information. We are working in a coordinated manner with the Executive to ensure that relevant organizations and decision makers can act properly. Scientific information is necessary for the bodies responsible for prevention or intervention work, as well as local and regional authorities, can focus their actions in favor of the affected populations, added Chirif Rivera.
Ingemmet reaffirms its commitment to geological research and evaluation in emergency situations. We will continue to develop advanced methodologies and technologies for the identification and monitoring of geological hazards, thus guaranteeing a timely and efficient response. Our goal is to provide detailed geological data and analysis that support informed decision making and contribute to risk reduction in affected communities.
