Brigadier General Gonzalo Eduardo Cabrejos Ramos Head of the National Geographic Institute IGN accompanied by Lt. Crl EP Oscar Vctor Paucar Llaja IGN Deputy Director of Geodetic Processing attended the inauguration of the commissioning operation of the Permanent Tracking Station AQ08 CAYMA which is located in the upper part of the Facilities of the Miguel de la Cuba Ibarra Drinking Water Treatment Plant in the Cayma district Province and Department of Arequipa. This plant belongs to the Arequipa Drinking Water and Sewerage Service SEDAPAR SA an entity attached to the Regional Government of Arequipa.This event was developed within the framework of the Inter-institutional collaboration agreement signed between SEDAPAR and the IGN. For the officialization of the ERP AQ08 the IGN validated the infrastructure installation and quality of the data registered by said Permanent Tracking Station according to the rigor required by the international standards established by the Geodetic Reference System of the Americas SIRGAS. the same one that allowed the elaboration of their respective monographic description file which contemplates their precise coordinates.On the other hand having complied with the ERP AQ08 with the established technical considerations it allowed the incorporation of the Permanent Tracking Station to the index of Permanent Tracking Stations at the national level currently implemented by the IGN and which today are 75 in total constituting the base that consolidates the Peruvian Geodesic Network of Continuous Monitoring REGPMOC.With this it will contribute to the development of the Arequipa Region providing consistent and reliable information for the execution of the various engineering projects such as road layout works sanitation works water and drainage networks canalization registration of properties urban cadastre rural cadastre boundary sanitation land use planning mining among others in addition to development and investment projects as well as the strengthening of the countrys reference framework and the development of research studies. In this way the prerogatives established by the United Nations are being fulfilled regarding the adoption of the World Geodetic Framework resolution for sustainable development established in 2015.
