📋 Tender Overview
The contingency plan and replacement of the Caynarachi bridge and progress of the Pongo Isla bridge project, as well as the creation of the water and sanitation service in Barranquita and other localities, were the issues that were addressed in the working meeting held between the technical team of the San Martín Regional Government, headed by the regional general manager, Carlos Ramírez Córdova, with the mayors of the Lower Huallaga Commonwealth.
With regard to the Caynarachi bridge, which is on the verge of collapse, it was agreed to consolidate a contingency plan for the reinforcement of the structures that will allow the passage of low-tonnage vehicles, while studies and the construction of a new bridge are carried out; the Regional Directorate of Transport and Communications will send the economic proposal on the aforementioned plan.
Regarding the Pongo Isla bridge, a consultant will be hired by the Huallaga Central and Bajo Mayo Special Project (PEHCBM) to collect design observations, costs and budgets, as well as machinery in compliance with the act that was made in November of this year.
On the other hand, to evaluate the creation of the drinking water and sanitary disposal of excreta service in the district of Barranquita, province of Lamas, and other related localities, a diagnosis will be made by touring the place, for which the Regional Directorate of Housing, Construction and Sanitation commits to carry out a field visit on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
The localities that require attention in water and sanitation are: Santa Rosa de Cachizapa, Unión de Cachizapa, Nuevo San Martín, Juan Santos Atahualpa, Nuevo Alegría, Pantoja, Barranquita and Santiago de Borja.
It was attended by the regional director of Transport and Communications, Milton César Llanca Cubas, the head of the Regional Office of National Security and Defense, Olter Gonzales Sandoval, the head of the Office of Dialogue and Sustainability, Jaimito Azang Huamán, representative of the PEHCBM, Omar Javier Cajo Martínez, mayors of Bajo Huallaga, leaders and representatives of civil society.
