In order to provide timely care with comfort and standard conditions to our insured who require laboratory tests, the Department of Clinical Pathology of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital of EsSalud, opened this Monday, March 25, a modern and exclusive environment for taking laboratory samples that will increase the number of daily visits to 2,500 patients.
In this sense, Dr. Elizabeth Carrillo, head of the Department of Clinical Pathology of the aforementioned health facility, reported that this new infrastructure has 6 appointment modules and 14 stations for the collection of blood samples and reception of other biological specimens, as well as the availability of 10 wheelchairs for people who have a disability and require to travel in this type of chairs.
"This new environment, due to its spaciousness, will provide greater order and comfort to the thousands of patients who come daily to take their samples. With these improvements, our policyholders will get care in a more comfortable and safe way," he said.
He also pointed out that a new flow will be formed for the attention of laboratory tests, where the treating physician will prepare the request for the analyses and enter it into the system, indicating to the patient the approximate date for the evaluation of the results of these studies.
In addition, he announced that from now on, patients will be able to approach the Laboratory Sampling Area on an empty stomach for 7 to 10 days before their doctor's reevaluation without the need for a prior laboratory appointment.
He specified that for the cases of insured persons who need some special indication for the examination or require vials for the transfer of samples, they can approach the Central Laboratory for orientation and collection of these containers.
It should be noted that the hours of operation for taking samples are from Monday to Saturday from 5:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at 257 Coronel Zegarra Avenue. Jesús María (Between Incor and Renal Health).
In this way, the Rebagliati hospital continues to work on the improvement and expansion of services to close the infrastructure gap that allows providing the country's insured population with timely and quality care.
