In recognition of his outstanding academic and professional career in the country and abroad, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the National University of Piura offered recognition to its former student. In recognition of their outstanding academic and professional career in the country and abroad, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the National University of Piura offered recognition to its former students, who currently hold and lead decision-making positions in public or private administration.
At the event, the following were recognized: Civil Engineer, Tania Castro Correa, who has a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from The University of Manchester (United Kingdom); Civil Engineer, Marlon Romero Villalta, an expert in Engineering and Construction Project Management with international certifications. Likewise, Civil Engineer, Jaime Urbina Pintado, a specialist in the execution of public and private works projects, and manager of a company that develops projects in the north of the country; and Civil Engineer, Cesar Nizama Garcia, a specialist in the transport sector, road safety and current Tumbes zonal head of Provias - Tumbes.
The dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Dr. Rosario Chumacero Cordova, said that it is important to call upon those who represent us in the various public and private spheres, because their experience and the feedback they can offer us will be fundamental to improve the work and service of the faculty.
She added that this initiative also responds to one of the strategies agreed upon with the Program for the Improvement of the Quality and Relevance of Higher University and Technological Education Services at the National Level (PMESUT), with which five phases of a Pre-Professional Internship and Graduate Monitoring Program were carried out.
The recognition was attended by the Rector (e), Dr. Enrique Caceres Florian; the Academic Vice-Rector, Dr. Wilson Sancarranco Cordova; the Vice-Rector for Research, Dr. Orlando Zapata Coloma; the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Dr. Rosario Chumacero Cordova, deans and guests.

The National University of Piura obtained this service through a public competition that it called (PMESUT), whose objective was to align its processes and procedures to have a single management instrument related to the pre-professional practices of students and follow-up of graduates from the fourteen faculties.
