Specialists of the MAjes Siguas Integral Project, Peims - Autodema of the Regional Government of Arequipa, carried out a technical inspection in the structure of the derivation tube in the Huambo Bridge, to determine the situational state of the water infrastructure.
During the inspection, the thickness of the metal plates that make up the structure of the interior of the tube was measured. This procedure is key to knowing the degree of wear caused by corrosion, due to the constant passage of water.
The executive manager, Duberly Otazu Garcia, said that through this evaluation the current state of the tube can be determined, prevent possible structural failures and plan maintenance work.
The results obtained in this inspection will serve as the basis to define the next necessary interventions, ensure the continuity of the service and the safety of hydraulic infrastructure, said the executive manager.
The evaluation was in charge of the specialists of the Water Resources Management Management, who will implement preventive actions that contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of the water resource.
