We culminate the ZF preparation phase in Ancash, achieving an important step with the approval of the implementation plan for forest zoning (ZF) through the Regional Management Resolution No. 000001-2024-GRA/GRRNGA on December 16 of 2024. This plan was carried out by the GORE Ancash technical team with support from our PI 3 - Serfor - BPS project specialists, which will guide all the necessary actions for the development of the ZF in articulation with other existing management instruments.
The next stage is the formulation of the ZF, in which the specific schedule will be applied so that the Technical Committee with support of SERFOR strengthens the capabilities of its members, in which the studies of fragile ecosystems must be continue In 2024, through the SERFOR Inventory and Assessment Directorate, a field verification of 4 proposals for fragile ecosystems was held in fragile ecosystems in coast.
This study of prioritized fragile ecosystems is carried out as part of the collection of cartographic information to identify the areas where there are species of wild flora and fauna It will allow to know forest and wildlife resources to be used sustainably and retaining biodiversity.
