📋 Tender Overview
After the working meetings held with Instituto del Mar del Perú – Imarpe, the Regional Production Directorate has planned the construction of a laboratory of marine organisms in Huacho, province of Huaura.
As a result of the coordination, the implementation of the research project will be at El Colorado beach. The objective is to boost aquaculture and mariculture activity in the coastal zone.
This decision will allow to have a suitable place to cultivate these resources, with a view to achieving a sustainable and economically suitable use for artisanal fishermen.
The project would also be replicated in the coastal marine areas of the provinces of Cañete, Huaral and Barranca.
All this will be accompanied by the reinforcement of the control and surveillance program, focused on compliance with current fishing regulations, which will protect the species and prevent their predation over time.
