π Tender Overview
Technological tool will facilitate management of water resource use in 1,700 hectares. The Agricultural Development Sub-management (SGDA) of the CHAVIMOCHIC Special Project (PECH), held a training talk for the operators of the Viru Users Board, Huancaco sector, on the use of the Irrigation Management System - SISGER, reported Eng. Jhon Cabrera Carlos, manager of the irrigation in La Libertad.
The first working meeting was held at the facilities of the Huancaco Users Commission, located in the Viru Valley. During this meeting, the innovative SISGER system was presented to the directors, administrative and technical staff of the Huancaco Users Commission, one of the largest Commissions in the area, covering an agricultural area of 1,750 hectares, said Cabrera Carlos.
SISGER is a completely free and very useful computer tool for water management for irrigation user organizations. It serves to automate the collection of water rates, facilitates and optimizes irrigation distribution; it also stores property information, water volume, installed and historical crops, statistical tables of land use, rates by year, water purchases according to water sources, etc.
At the meeting, the benefits of the SISGER system were highlighted, which will not only facilitate efficient water management but has also aroused great enthusiasm among farmers. The possibility of having a modern tool like the SISGER application will allow them to access precise and timely information from their smartphones, laptops or tablets, significantly improving the collection and distribution stages of irrigation, commented Eng. Segundo Bravo Diaz, Deputy Manager of Agricultural Development at PECH.
Victor Felix Julca Lozano, President of the Users Commission of the Huancaco sector, expressed his sincere gratitude to PECH for its commitment and dedication to innovating and continuously improving irrigation distribution systems. This guarantees an efficient and sustainable water supply for our crops, which in turn will allow prosperous and sustainable development for our families and communities. Thank you for your effort and commitment to the progress of our region, he said.
At the end of the training, it was agreed to schedule a next meeting to begin the implementation of the SISGER system in the Commission. The directors expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the work being done for the benefit of farmers in La Libertad, recognizing that this tool will be key to modernizing and optimizing the management of water resources in the region.
