The Minister of Environmental Protection, Sara Pavkov, signed today the Cooperation Agreement with the Executive Director of the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), Violeta Jovanovic, which establishes a framework for strengthening the partnership in the implementation of sustainable development policies, circular economy and improvement of the waste management system in Serbia.
Pavkov emphasized that the signing of this agreement represents an important step towards connecting institutions, the economy and the professional public in building a modern, efficient and sustainable environmental protection system. With this agreement, we are establishing a solid framework for joint work on key reforms in the field of environmental protection. A special focus will be on improving the waste management system, developing the circular economy, preparing new regulations, digitizing processes and strengthening the capacities of local self-governments. We want to use the knowledge and experience of NALED in order to create solutions that will be effective, applicable and in The cooperation will include the involvement of representatives of NALED, who will contribute to the creation of better and applicable solutions with their knowledge and experience, in areas in which this organization has relevant expertise, such as waste management, circular economy, regulatory reform, digitalization and green transition, said Pavkov. The minister emphasized that the cooperation of the public, private and civil sectors is one of the prerequisites for the successful implementation of important goals in the field of environmental protection. We will work together on the preparation of analyzes and public policies, exchange of international experiences and the acceleration of the green transition. At the same time, we want to encourage greater investments in the field of environmental protection and greater involvement of all relevant actors, because only by working together can we improve the preservation of the environment and a better quality of life for all citizens, said Pavkov.
